St.Peters Elite School in Gilgil. [Photo: JN]Celebrations and dance took centre stage at St.Peters Elite School in Gilgil after the 2017 KCPE results were announced on Tuesday Morning with the school shining by producing the best candidate in Nakuru County.
Gathoni Macharia scored 447 Marks followed by Sharon Muthoni who scored 444 while Moses Kamau came third with 433 marks.
Besides that, St.Peters Elite School in Gilgil had a reason to celebrate after more than 40 candidates from the school scored over 400 marks with the school having registered 113 candidates.
Addressing media at the school, head teacher Simon Mburu stated that the good performance were as a result of hard work and discipline.
“We want to thank God for the good performance which is as a result of hard work and discipline of the candidates,” he said.
Sentiments echoed by Benard Njihia - the father to Sharon Muthoni who added that he was excited to receive his daughter’s results.
“I was excited to receive the results of my daughter. My two sons have been through here and all have proceeded to campus and I believe my daughter is also having a bright future since I know her as bright and humble girl,” he said.
Elsewhere at the Gilgil hills academy, Kiki Mumbi emerged the best candidate scoring 432 marks.
When media arrived at their school, she was unable to hide her joy as she joined parents and teachers in celebrating the good results.
Addressing media, Lawrence Anyona the school head teacher was categorical that the 2017 class was hardworking.
“I must say that the 2017 class was hardworking and this is why we have the good results now,” he said.
The situation was similar at Crater Montesssori academy in Milimani Nakuru where parents and teachers joined top performers among them the top candidate who managed 429 marks.
