Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua on Wednesday commissioned the upgrading of Gilgil subcounty market in bid to boost business in the densely populated market.

The Governor was leading his team in the second day of the Gavana Mtaani Outreach Programme in the region where he also affirmed that the move is part of his government’s initiative in providing good platform for business operations in the area.

‘Our aim as the government is to ensure that each and every business person get a conducive working environment to operate. It is in this line that we have taken the initiative to construct modern shades in this market to support businesses.’ Mbugua stated.

Mbugua also thanked the residents for supporting and standing by him while also promising to continue offering them support. 

During the tour, Mbugua also met with Gilgil Pastors’ Fellowship members who represented over 60 churches as well as Muslims leaders where they shared their ideas, plights, challenges and also giving advice to the County leadership.

The programme which marked its 8th episode since its inception entered its second day on Wednesday in Gilgil sub-county where the county boss continues to interact with the locals in bid to solve their problems.
