A standard three girl was defiled, killed and her body dumped at Chitago village, South Mugirango.
Her body was found dumped in a bush earlier this week and according to those familiar with the incident said that the girl aged 9 disappeared on Tuesday.
The girl's aunt, Drusilla Kemunto said that the girl reached her home picked the milk and left but was shocked to learn that she never reached home.
"She picked the milk but was shocked when her father told me that she had not arrived home and it was late in the night," said Ms Kemunto.
In a more shocking revelation, a note was found less than a kilometre from where the body was found which contained the names of suspects who murdered the girl.
The note said that the suspect had been paid Sh 100,000 to murder the girl.
This angered the residents who killed one of the suspects and torched the houses that belong to the other suspects.
The note also revealed that the killers had been sent to murder the girl or her father.
County Police Commander Hassan Abdi said that investigations had been launched into the matter.
"We shall ensure that we take actions against all the people involved in the murder. I also warn the locals not to take actions into their own hands," he said.
