The academic excellence at Githunguri Township Primary School has been attributed to hard work by school's management and pupils , says headteacher.
Speaking today to a hivisasa.com writer , Ms Elizabeth Maina ,the headteacher of the school said that team work from the school's management has raised the status of the school.
“Githunguri Township Primary School has again produced the best KCPE pupil in the county due to team work and dedicated teaching staff “, said Ms Maina.
Ndungu Munene ,14, from the school attained 438 marks and was the best pupil in Kiambu County.
Ms Maina said hard work by pupils and support from the staff contributed greatly for the successful performance.
Maina said that the excellent performance has motivated learners ,teaching staff and pupils and they will continue to motivate pupils to perform better.
“ We will encourage our pupils to work hard and improve school's mean score”, said Maina.
She also said dedicated teaching staffs played a great role in excellent performance .
“ Our teaching staffs make sure the pupils complete the syllabus in time and have ample time for revision”, said Maina.
She further said that the teaching fraternity offers guidance and counseling sessions to make sure the pupils are prepared psychologically.
