Politicians have been urged to give room to the IEBC and the Judiciary to discharge their mandates.

Water Cs Eugene Wamalwa said that the government spent a lot of money to reform IEBC, the Judiciary, the court and police and therefore leaders should not be detractors to the independent bodies when executing their duties.

“We invested a lot of funds to reform IEBC following the 2008 post-election violence. A lot of funds on judicial reforms because people had lost confidence in the courts and police reforms,“ he said as quoted by KNA.

The Cs noted that Kenyans must invest and believe in their institutions and leave them to work as by the law.

“If we decide to dictate to or arm-twist institutions, my fellow Kenyans we are creating a disaster,” stated the Cs.

He added Jubilee government has given easy time to the independent institutions to work but oppostion NASA has failed to follow the footsteps.

Wamalwa asked NASA leaders led by Raila Odinga to respect the law and allow IEBC and other independent bodies to work without interruption.
