According to Kisii governor James Ongwae, many of projects delay to be commenced and completion because the national government takes long to send the money to counties.

Addressing the press in Kisii town, Ongwae accused the national government over the delay of money to counties and challenged it to change the method and send money in time to promote more development projects in various counties in time.

“Some think that we are the one who fails to develop our regions but the truth of the matter is because the money we get from the national government delays to arrive,” said Ongwae.

“I am urging the government to make sure we get money as county government in time to do all scheduled projects in a particular financial year to move forward," added Ongwae.
