Speaking on Saturday during the commissioning of chairs bought by Nyamotaro Youth Group in Marani, Ombachi defended the county leadership from persistent ‘unwarranted’ attacks by area residents, allegedly incited by 2013 election losers.

He said the county government has already launched various projects in all nine sub-counties in the region that were already in progress.

“Let us not complain every time. Am sure the county government has launched various programmes including county bursaries for our children. Remember the county is using limited resources to execute its mandate,” he said.

“You can also concur with me that many roads have been done and still there are yet more things to be done. This can only be done if you give him (Governor Ongwae) time to deliver,” he added.

He asked county government critics to desist from spreading malicious propaganda about area county administration on alleged fraud and nepotism in employing people.

“Some people are going around misleading you about utilization of funds county government. They are hate mongers who are not for development. It is worthy to remember that it is the County Public Service that is in charge of employing people and not governor,” he added.

This comes amidst complaints from a section of county residents complaining of nepotism in employment at the county level.
