Retired President Daniel Moi has challenged the opposition to “give credit where it is due,” adding that the Jubilee government is on the right track.
Speaking during the opening of the Annual International Research Conference, an event presided over by Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i at Kabarak University, Moi lauded the efforts taken by the government to address the challenges facing the educational sector.
He particularly praised efforts taken to curb cheating which rocked both Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams.
The ministry of education has introduced a raft of measures to curb cheating including banning of school visits and prayer days during exams week.
“These efforts should be applauded and supported by all of us. It is important to point out the shortcomings of government but also give credit where it is due,” he said.
