Kisii County assembly deputy speaker Evans Mokora has called on residents to give their leaders ample time to serve them.
Mokora, who is also the county representative for Moticho Ward was speaking at the Kisii Cultural Hall when Kisii County Governor James Ongwae met a delegation of members from South Mugirango Sub County to solve a crisis on the ward administration offices location in the sub county. He asked the residents to give them time to serve.
“We are the democratically elected leaders you have to serve you for five years. If by 2017 you will not be satisfied with the work we have done, then you will choose other leaders to serve you,” he said.
He however asked the residents to try solving petty issues amongst themselves and involve the governor in development issues instead.
Mokora also reminded the people of South Mugirango that they have powers from the constitution and he will abide by whatever decision the governor will take since his ward is the most affected.
Present at the occasion were three other Members of County Assembly from South Mugirango Sub County, county ministers on administration and lands, housing and urban development and chief officers from the ministries.
