Former Kikuyu MP, Lewis Nguyai, who has shown interest for the Kabete parliamentary seat has urged Kabete people to forgive him for not delivering in his first term.
Nguyai is the former MP of larger Kikuyu Constituency which comprised of Kabete before it was split.
"I know some people may feel that I did not perform during my first term, but the constituency was too big and the money I was getting was very little,” said Nguyai.
He pleaded with the residents to give him a chance to serve them.
Meanwhile, the seat has continued to attract more contestants rising from five last week to 26 today according to Kiambu County TNA Co-ordinator Josiah Kuria.
Among the new entrants is former Embakasi MP Ferdinard Waititu.
Speaking in Kabete TNA office Kuria promised to have free and fair elections.
"We will hold our Jubilee Alliance Party nominations on March 13,” said Kuria.
Kabete by election comes following the cold blood murder of the former MP George Muchai early this month.
