Nairobi deputy Governor Jonathan Mueke has called on city residents to re-elect him and his boss Dr Evans Kidero to propel the county to greater heights.

According to Mueke, their development record speaks for itself noting that they have achieved a lot for the county for the four and half years they have been in power.

He said they have transformed Nairobi's standards to a county that is now getting both local and international accolades which he noted boost investor confidence.

“When we came into power in 2013, we found the county in a deep hole. We have been able to remove Nairobi from that pit…just recently; we received awards during the Public Service Week where the county scooped three awards on service delivery,” Mueke said during an interview on KBC television on Sunday evening.

He said Nairobi County is now the number one city in terms of foreign direct investments (FDIs) in the region, which is creating jobs for Kenyans.

“What we are now asking Nairobians is to give us another five years and that is why we are saying KideroTanoTena and we will do even more,” he added.

Kidero and Mueke are facing a stiff challenge from Senator Mike Sonko’s team of Jubilee Party, independents Miguna Miguna and Peter Kenneth in the upcoming August 8 general election.
