Nakuru deputy Governor Joseph Ruto has lashed out to those questioning Governor Kinuthia Mbugua's abilities, further branding them as enemies of development.
In an interview on Radio Citizen on Tuesday evening, Ruto called on anybody against their administration style to give them time to serve Nakuru residents arguing that the county was better than a few individuals out to frustrate their efforts of overseeing an all round developed Nakuru.
He rubbished claims that his boss was being selective by giving an upper hand to Jubilee leaders and only those who supported him during his campaigns saying such claims were false and baseless.
"In Nakuru, the governor has a very good working relationship with all leaders irrespective of whether they supported him or not, anything less than that is baseless propaganda and will never derail our development agenda," he said.
Ruto cited the ongoing county government outreach programme as a prove to their commitment in reaching out to everybody up to the grassroots, further insisting that it was not a campaign strategy.
He praised his boss Mr Mbugua stating that having him as a governor was the best choice the people of Nakuru had made, arguing that under him, the county had recorded positive improvement in almost all sectors of the economy.
"He (Governor Mbugua) is friendly and his open door approach is yielding positive results. I believe Nakuru is among the best counties in the country today," Ruto noted.
The DG also downplayed claims that he will ditch his support for Mbugua for the Kuresoi South parliamentary seat saying at the moment, he was committed to serving the people of Nakuru under his capacity.
