Jubilee Party Mombasa gubernatorial candidate Suleiman Shahbal has accused Governor Hassan Joho of lacking an agenda for the county.
Shahbal said the Joho administration doesn’t have a single clue on any solution to the myriad of challenges facing the county. He said the time for Joho’s administration to go home has come. "If we’re going to continue with the current administration, we are going to have another five years of disaster in Mombasa,” he said.“If you listen to the governor’s campaign talk for an hour, he doesn’t speak about what he’s done and what he’ll do. It is time they went home,” stated Shahbal during an interview on NTV on Wednesday night. He cited the mounds of garbage that have become an eyesore to city residents and visitors as one of the characteristics of a failed administration.“The failure to clean up Mombasa is a symptomatic of an absolutely failed administration. If you cannot manage the garbage, frankly you have no business trying to pretend you can manage anything,” said Shahbal.“If you can’t solve your garbage, definitely you have no clue how you can solve the challenge of reviving the economy,” added the JP candidate. The former banker said if elected governor on Tuesday, he’ll create jobs for the youth, address the drugs menace, water, traffic and garbage collection challenges among other issues affecting the county.
