Former Registrar of the Judiciary Gladys Shollei has dismissed critics after she was cleared by the IEBC to run in Uasin Gishu

Immediately after receiving her nomination certificate at the IEBC offices in Eldoret Town, Mrs Shollei dismissed a recommendation by activists who want her blocked from holding public office over integrity concerns.
“It is not their business to write and change the law by heckling in the media. They should follow the right channel in amending the law instead of shouting.
Mrs Shollei said she will conduct peaceful campaigns and hopes to get 98 per cent endorsement from the electorate to be the next Uasin Gishu woman rep.
“This closes the conversation of my enemies who thought I won't be cleared. We will campaign…as we seek to get 98 per cent endorsement from the electorate,” said Mrs Shollei.
Mrs Shollei and seven others are facing charges of abuse of office in connection with alleged misuse of more than Sh150 million for the construction of the prefabricated court buildings in Tawa, Mavoko and Garsen without approval of the tender committee.
