Homa Bay women representative Gladys Wanga has criticised President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto for alleging that the National Super Alliance (Nasa) flag bearer, Raila Odinga, is copying their manifesto.
During a Nasa campaign rally in Kakamega on Saturday, Raila said if Nasa forms government in the August 8 elections, secondary education will be free starting in September this year.
His sentiments were strongly criticised by Uhuru and Ruto who said the opposition had stolen their idea because they had no plan. The president said the idea to start free secondary education was started by Jubilee.
Wanga has however attacked the president and his deputy saying all the plans that Jubilee is boasting about were started in the grand coalition government.
“All those plans that Jubilee is boasting to be doing, they were started during the government of Raila, Kalonzo and Kibaki,” said Wanga during a Nasa campaign rally in Machakos county, Monday.
“The SGR project was started by Raila, Kalonzo and Kibaki, free primary education was started by Raila, Kalonzo and Kibaki,” she noted.
“So Uhuru you do not know what is planning. Those people who know what is planning are in Nasa and come September, all students will go to school without being charged any fees,” Wanga added.
