Speaking on Radio Citizen's 'Debe La Citizen' on Sunday, Wanga noted that the unity between the two national leaders is solely based on their vision for a united nation, stating that there are no political motives behind their reconciliation.

She added that Odinga's motive for the inclusion in the joint deal is clear, saying that he is not after nor is he set for any political benefit from the March 9 surprise reunion.

''Raila did not go into the handshake for political favours or positions for either himself or his allies. He is not interested in anything else but this nation's unity and full recovery from our historical and ethnic shortcomings,'' she stated.

The Odinga ally further rubbished claims that the two are championing for a constitutional amendment, urging Kenyans to avoid casting speculations and await the full content of their deal.

''We have to remain calm and await their conclusion. Should there be a need for any referendum, Kenyans will only learn about it after the 14-member team tasked with the job concludes on its deliberations,'' she added.
