Homa Bay County Women Representative Gladys has caused a stir after ridiculing Homa Bay Town MP Peter saying the lawmaker isn't 'man enough'.
Ms Wanga caused laughter in Parliament on Wednesday when she said Mr Kaluma 'hana nguvu' following a fight he was engaged in with his competitor at Homa Bay Stadium.
"You talk a lot kumbe hauna nguvu!" Wanga said as fellow MPs burst into laughter.
This is not a laughing matter. When I saw two men, another man lying on another one, I didn’t know it was Kaluma who was being squashed down there. There was another lady standing by watching the fight and it looked like she was enjoying."
During celebrations to mark two years after former Homa Bay Senator Otieno Kajwang' died last Sunday, Mr Kaluma engaged in a fist fight with his 2017 challenger, Washington Ogaga in front of Cord leader Raila Odinga.
Mr Ogaga, during the fight, overpowered Kaluma when he threw the legislator on the podium floor as Mr Odinga and a host of opposition MPs present watched.
As Wanga made jokes of the lawmaker, Kaluma sat quietly as MPs made jokes of him.
And Parliament Majority leader Aden Duale said: "We will help him with medical bills. Let us send our good wishes to Kaluma, for good health and say sorry for his being clobbered."
Temporary Speaker Moses Cheboi (Kuresoi North) told Kaluma "Please welcome to the chamber, you are a safe man here."
