Husband to the Homa Bay woman representative Gladys Wanga has raised eyebrows in Homa Bay county.
This is after he endorsed an ODM opponent for the Homa Bay gubernatorial race despite the call of the six-piece voting pattern in the region.
George Wanga announced during a political rally in Hom Bay county that he is supporting the candidature of Oyugi Magwanga who is vying as an independent candidate.
His wife, Gladys Wanga and nominated MP Oburu Odinga were appointed to lead Nasa’s Nyanza Presidential Campaign team campaigning for the Nasa presidential candidate Raila Odinga as well as spearhead the ODM six-piece voting in the entire Nyanza region.
George however said he cannot advocate for six-piece voting following massive looting orchestrated by the current leadership.
“You know my wife is on the other side because she is forced to support unpopular candidates by top ODM officials. Know that we are supporting Magwanga’s bid because he is a performer,” George said.
He further told the local to ignore the voting pattern but urged them to vote for Raila as the president, Magwnaga as the governor and his wife Glady’s Wanga to retain the woman representative seat.
“Please ignore the six-piece voting; vote for Odinga, Magawanga and then remember my wife,” he saidd as quoted by a local daily.
