In an emotional message sent to her close friends, the Gloria announced the death of her father,David Muliro on Sunday.

“It is with great sorrow that I inform you of promotion to Glory of my dad David Muliro!! We will always miss you. May your soul rest in peace dad,” read part of her post on Facebook.

The singer has been out of the limelight for quite a long period and reports indicate that she had been attending to her ailing father.

Following the announcement, friends among them fellow celebrities and fans filled her social media platforms with condolence messages asking her to take heart.
