Kisii county residents have been challenged to register for the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) for easy access to various hospitals when they get sick.
According to Kisii county NHIF Officer Alex Nyamweya, NHIF saves much when somebody has no money to pay for hospital bills and he urged the residents to make sure they go for the program
Speaking in Kisii town, Nyamweya said many have benefited from the program and there is a need for every individual to be a member in the NHIF program.
“NHIF is very important for every individual when it comes to hospital bills, let every individual tget registered in Kisii County,” said Nyamweya.
He said the statistics shows that majority of Kisii residents are not NHIF members something he noted as not being impressive.
He also asked those who are members to advice others on the benefit of the program as one way of motivating them to get registered.
