The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has called on calm, and asked Kenyans to exercise patience, ahead of the declaration of the presidential election results.

Chairman Wafula Chebukati, has indicated that all is well at the national tallying centre, the Bomas of Kenya, and that officials are finalising on putting together all the required forms 34A and 34B, from the constituencies.

During a media update, Friday afternoon, Chebukati asked all Kenyans to go back to work, and wait for the declaration of presidential results, after all that is required, is completed, by around 3 pm, today (Friday).

"So far we have received 273 Form 34B. We however call for patience as we await the remaining forms to be returned. I urge Kenyans to please go back to work," said Chebukati

"Next update should be at 2:30 PM this afternoon. We continue to urge Kenyans to remain patient," he added.
