Residents in Rongai, Nakuru County have been asked to go for cancer screening for early detection of the killer disease that has claimed many lives in the region.
First Lady Margaret Kenyatta on Wednesday urged women to make use of the breast cancer screening exercise being conducted in the area to their advantage.
“When cancer is tested and detected at an early stage, it is easier to treat, manage the disease. Go for screening and save lives today,” she urged.
She urged the residents to stay away from traditional medics who claim to have knowledge to treat cancer adding that only qualified medical personnel can help cure cancer.
