Speaking at a function in Bomet County, Sossion told Dr. Laboso to keep off the Bomet gubernatorial seat and vie in Kisumu where she is married.

“Someone tell Joyce on my behalf to go and vie for governorship in Kisumu. She is now a daughter of that land because they already paid us bride price,” Sossion said.

Sossion added  that although the Sotik MP was a good leader, she is married to Edwin Abonyo, and thus should go and vie for the seat where she is married.

“If she becomes a governor, it will be surprising that a certain name will rule us here. You know that other name?” he said.

The Secretary general has endorsed the current Governor Isaac Ruto for the seat come next year's elections.
