The United States ambassador Bob Godec has been given a three-day ultimatum to apologize to National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga.
An alleged caucus of National Resistance Movement (NRM) youth wrote a protest letter to Western envoys chiefly Bob Godec over what they claim to be their uninvited meddling in Kenyan internal affairs.
“We would like to give the ambassadors a three-day notice to come out and publicly apologize to the people of Kenya and our President H.E Raila Odinga,” the statement conveyed.
Godec has been on the forefront, leading a club of Western diplomats in calling Opposition leader Raila Odinga to respect President Uhuru Kenyatta's authority. In as much as they agreed there was a need for dialogue, the envoys first demanded Raila Odinga to recognise Kenyatta's presidency and forsake his People's President title.
In the latest demand from the Opposition allied group, the envoys have been required to never meddle Kenya’s internal matters “unless under direct orders or invitation by our President H.E Raila Odinga” failure to which they will be met with tough consequences that have never been seen before.
The NRM youth generals said they were dissatisfied “with the irresponsibility of a few western ambassadors,” who according to them chose to recognize a “former” President Uhuru Kenyatta at the expense of their rightfully “elected President Raila Odinga.”
“The people of Kenya made their decision on August 8th, 2017 by overwhelmingly voting for President Odinga, later on, they reaffirmed their decision by boycotting the October 26th comedy show by IEBC and rubber stamped their decision by swearing in His Excellency Odinga as President on 30th January 2018,” the statement published by Raila Odinga aid Salim Lone read.
The group reiterated that they “do not and shall never recognize Mr Uhuru Kenyatta as our President.”
Calling on the targeted foreign envoys led by Bob Godec not to get entangled in the country’s politics the NASA youths claimed they were well informed of some few ambassadors who have been bribed by President Kenyatta to defend him at all costs.
“We are aware that some few ambassadors have been bribed by the former President to defend him at all costs at the expense of the sovereignty of the people of Kenya. This includes deals in the soon to begin oil mining in Turkana,” the statement suggested.
The authors of the statement; Jonah Damon Onyango, David Ochola, Ronny Mamba Ayumba said they were ready to defend their president-Raila Odinga and their nation at all costs.
