Following the call by NASA leader Raila Odinga that Kenyans avoid work and wait for a major announcement, a lot of support and criticism has sparked a heated debate on social media.

While some supported the idea, others were of the opinion that the NASA leader did not pay their bills and so the were not going to stay at home and risk losing their jobs.

Dino Bilal said:

"The saddest reality of Raila's call for work boycott tomorrow is that his followers are largely employed by Uhuru's followers. So the latter would have a better excuse (what they have been looking for) to sack all of you without a slightest shred of mercy. Raila is currently jobless don't follow his league. Go to work tomorrow."

Kiburoh Kurgat said:

"Dear Raila Odinga, you cannot deny your people sex and work at the same time, it just can't work,if they will stay home, atleast allow them to make babies."

Jusper Moindi said:

"Who in their right mind tells people in slums not to go to work? And what grain of a brain does one have to just accept that?Let Raila seek justice in Court, not in streets. ~Anonymous."

Abdi Malik Adan Ali said:

"Raila asks his supporters not to attend work tomorrow while speaking at Kibra. Most have struggled to get employed. They will be too stupid if they heed this call."

Adamu Djibril said he could not stay away from a job he had put in a lot to get and asked the NASA leader not to 'break' him again.

"If I remember how I penned down an application job couple of months ago, stating how flexible I am, Raila should stop kidding with our entire lives, juzi he broke my emotions, now you want to destroy my job?" he quipped.

Tius Wamalwa said:

"Politics is for the super smart minds. We argue, we fight, we do all sort of evil. After election, its our mandate to forget the past and work for the people we argued for. I call upon my BABA Raila Amolo Odinga to relax and allow elected leaders to lead us the next level. Its not time to fight or argue. Freedom we fought for and we got, liberty we wanted and we were liberated. Its time to work Raila."But the NASA leader did not meet only his naysayers.

Others were visibly ready to follow his call and abstain from work, glorifying the leader and declaring a national holiday to be named after him.Bernard Omutanyi said:"And it will remain, a Monday of the third week of August is Raila Odinga day. Don't get it twisted," he said.
