The county government of Uasin Gushu has extended dateline for the renewal of unified single business permits and signages for 14 days.

Through a public notice posted on its Facebook page on Sunday, the governor Jackson Mandago-led administration said traders are expected to get their licenses for 2018 on or before April 16.

This is a sigh of relieve after the previous dateline had lapsed last week on April 3.

“Notice is hereby given to all traders that the county government of Uasin Gishu has extended the renewal of unified single business permits and signages for 14 days, the traders are expected to renew and get their licenses on or before the dateline of 16th April 2018,” read part of the notice signed by the County Executive in charge of Trade and Industrialization Dr. Emily Kogos.

The notice further issues conditions for getting a new permit among them the mandatory inspection to be carried out to ascertain the actual business activity codes and provision of a copy of the 2017 single business permit.

“All licenses obtained after the dateline stated above will attract 50 percent penalty," noted the notice.

Traders seeking permits are required to fill the application form online in the county’s e-permits platform, UG-PAY system on the portal https://revenue.uasingishu.go.ke with the services available at wards/sub-county offices and the county headquarters in Eldoret town.
