Veteran opposition leader Raila Odinga has every reason to smile after the county of Kwale joined the ranks of counties that have passed the People Assembles motion.
The NASA coalition posted a tweet on its official Twitter page congratulations to Kwale for embracing the People's Assembly.
Congratulations to Kwale County Assembly for being the 10th devolved House to pass NASA's People's Assembly Motion after Busia, Siaya, Kakamega, Vihiga, Kisumu, Homa Bay, Migori, Makueni and Kilifi County Assemblies.
Odinga proposed the People's Assembly idea as a powerful bulwark against the Uhuru administration.
In an address at Mayanja Road, Odinga said that the People's Assembly would swear him in on December 12.
The Kenyan government through its spokesperson Eric Kiraithe warned MCA's who dared pass the motion that they would be surcharged.
Several counties in the opposition strongholds have already passed the motion.
