Women who have been seeking maternity services in Kaptembwa Ward Nakuru County have everything to smile about after Rhonda maternity ward was officially opened at Rhonda Dispensary.
Previously mothers have been complaining about long distances and expenses they had to incur to seek services from the Nakuru Provincial General Hospital.
Speaking at the launch County CEC for Public Health Dr. Mungai Kabii expressed his delight for mothers of the area who will now get better improved services.
" I am grateful today for this new development which will go a long way to ensure women get maternity services that will help reduce maternal deaths." He said. "I urge expectant mothers to utilise the facility and avoid giving birth at home," he said.
Dr.Mungai presided over the opening of the new maternity ward which had already started its operation with over four women delivering successfully in the ward.
