More than 1,000 people from Sigulu Island in Uganda can now afford a smile after reports that ferry services along Lake Victoria in Port Victoria are set to be revived.
This was after a ferry company from Scotland revived ferry transport in Lake Victoria. The services had stalled years back due to a misunderstanding between the company and immigration officials from Uganda.
According to Globology Lake Ferry Services Limited operations director, the 10-tonne ferry can manage 100 passengers.
Jan says they are reviving the ferry services to enable travelers reach their destination at affordable rates.
