Twitter has finally delivered its long-awaited promise of increasing the character limit on its platform to 280 characters, all from 140 characters. Good news right?
Twitter which has more than 330 million users had launched the addition of the characters in only a few accounts but on Tuesday it announced to all its users that they can now tell their whole story on their timelines.
It will not be long before the new addition is abused by Twitter users.
However, according to company’s product manager Aliza Rosen, only 2% have used over 190 characters while 5% use 140 and below, but she expressed satisfaction in the way its users have received the new addition of characters so far.
Many users have argued that the increase would make Twitter less readable because we already have Facebook for that and furthermore others said the company should have concentrated on emerging issues such as security, abuse, bullying, and harassment.
