Speaking during the launch, governor Jackson Mandago said the center will be crucial in offering information to youths.

The center is at the Eldoret Social hall grounds.

“The office will offer information on how to start businesses, mentorship programmes, how to choose careers, guiding and counseling among others,” he said.

The governor assured the youths in the county of his commitment to ensuring they get relevant information that will help them improve their livelihoods.

“I want to urge youths from the region to use the facility and they won’t regret since their lives will be transformed instead of spending time on Facebook and WhatsApp inciting and abusing others,” he advised.

Mandago further warned youths against engaging in the use of illegal drugs and alcohol saying they have destroyed the lives of many youths in the county.

He instead urged them to engage in any job regardless whether it’s white or blue collar job for them to earn a living.

The county boss also called upon parents to take care of their sons and daughters by always monitor them while in college and universities.
