Gor Mahia, who are chasing both domestic as well as the Caf Confederation Cup titles, could not keep hold of Kagere, at a time when they need a stronger squad.

The Rwandan striker, who was in his second stint with K'Ogalo, officially joined Simba on Tuesday after penning a deal with the Tanzanian giants.

Kagere received a sign on fee of approximately Sh600, 000 and will earn close to Sh300,000 a month and other benefits that include a car and a fully furnished apartment.

Kagere sealed a deal with Simba after Gor Mahia dragged their feet in meeting his demands following the expiry of his contract in July.

Kagere’s move could just be the beginning of impending exodus at K’Ogalo, who might also lose midfielder Francis Kahata as well as Jacques Tuyisenge and George Odhiambo to Simba and Yanga respectively.

this may affect the club in their bid to be crown 2018 champions. with the said players having been part of the shining team in the last couple of seasons.
