Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia will renew their rivalry against arch-rivals AFC Leopards in the Kenya Premier League Super Cup this Sunday at the Afraha Stadium Nakuru.
The super cup is the curtain raiser for the KPL season and normally draws the title holder against winners of the GOtv shield.
Gor managed to secure their sixteenth title last season under the tutelage of Englishman Dylan Kerr while Ingwe scooped the Shield cup after pipping Kariobangi Sharks 2-0 in October 2017.
Both teams have played several friendly matches with and will be hoping to be in fine form on the ultimate day in another 'Mashemeji Derby'.
Gor which is currently camping in Nakuru beat Ugandan champions KCCA 4-2 last Saturday while Leopards clawed KPL rivals Thika United 2-1 at the Thika Municipal Stadium.
Ingwe will be hoping for a finer start to their 2018 season having endured a disappointing campaign last season while Gor will be looking forward to extending their dominance over the team they twice hammered 3-0 last season.
The two clubs are also gearing for the Confederation of Africa Football (Caf) tournaments which kick off in February.
K'ogallo have been drawn against Leones Vegetarianos of Equatorial Guinea in the Caf champions league while Ingwe will battle it out with Fosa Juniors of Madagascar in the Caf championships.
