Gor Mahia FC has appointed Immediate former Posta angers tactician Zedekiah 'Zico' Otieno as their assistant coach.

Zico who was unceremoniously dismissed as Gor Mahia head coach in 2011 returns to the club and replaces Tom Ogweno after parting ways with Rangers in October 2016 in unclear circumstances despite leading the club to a 4th place finish.

While confirming his return, Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier said the tactician's return is a massive boost for his side as it looks to reclaim the Kenyan Premier League title this year.

"We have appointed Zedekiah Otieno as our assistant coach. We wanted someone with Kenyan premier league experience and Zico fits that bill," he said.

Zico has previously coached Harambee Stars national team and Kenyan Premier League side, SoNy Sugar.
