Kenya Premier League Champions Gor Mahia will be looking to strengthen their squad before the new season kicks off.

According to reports, the club is in advanced talks to bring in a striker, as they aim to once again defend a title to easily clinch this season.

Having failed to win it last season, K’Ogalo wrestled the title from Tusker this season, after another dominant performance.

Gor Secretary General Ronald Ngala, who spoke to a local daily, talks are going on well to bring in another experienced striker.

“We are in negotiation with him and all details will be availed once the transfer window opens,” Mr Ngala said as quoted by Game Yetu.

The identity of the striker is yet to be revealed, although Ivorian striker Ephrem Guikan has been touted to be the man to lead the frontline next season.

Guikan plies his trade in Mauritania, playing for AS Port Louis 2000.

The club has however good players in the striking front, with the likes of Jacques Tuyisenge and Meddie Kagere being on the list.
