Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia continued with their quest to build a formidable squad after bringing on board Nzoia Sugar playmaker Lawrence Juma on Saturday on a three-year deal.

According to the sugar millers tactician Bernard Mwalala,Juma joined the champions on a free transfer.

"Lawi is a great and a disciplined boy,he's destined for greatness. As a coach ,it's sad to see such a player leave but once a player says he wants to progress his career elsewhere we have no choice but to let him go,we wish him the very best at Gor Mahia," the former Kenyan international said.

Mwalala however expressed his disappointment over the manner in which the pacy midfielder left the club saying he shouldn't have gone on a free transfer.

The former Nakuru All Stars player had a very successful 2017 KPL stint with the league debutants where he scored seven goals and set up several others.

His industry made him one of the most standout players in the Kenyan elite league with several clubs reportedly following him.

He becomes the third player to join K'ogallo this season after former striker Kevin 'Ade' Omondi and Ivorian striker Ephram Guikan.
