Gor Mahia fraternity has been thrown into mourning as their goalkeeper Peter Odhiambo lost two of his family members.
Odhiambo's brother, who suffered from kidney failure died, and shockingly enough his mother died just in a spate of 3days. His mum had been sick for a while till her last breath.
Gor Mahia's club chairman Ambrose Rachier led in sending sincere condolences and has promised to convene a meeting with the rest of the club officials to discuss ways forward aimed at helping the star.
''It's such a difficult moment to Peter and our sincere condolences to him. We know how straining it can be and we will hugely support him all through as a club," Chief Executive Officer Aduda said.
''It's truly a sad moment and as players, we feel what one of us(Peter) is going through. Our condolences to him and the family. Let him be strong, we are there for him. Such sad events do come with financial constraints and as players, we are putting our hands together to at least get something for our brother. He needs our support in all ways,'' Captain Harun Shakava said.
Burial arrangements are in progress and the brother will be buried this weekend (on 9th of June) and mother a week later (on the 16th June) in Ugenya.
