Sportpesa Premier League (SPL) favourites Gor Mahia FC, will on Saturday 18, receive a trophy award for winning the title.
The event will be graced on Saturday by opposition leader Raila Odinga at 2 p.m in Moi stadium in Kisumu when Gor plays Sony Sugar.
Gor wants to win the Saturday match on a high note, to seal their successful 2017 campaign for the title.
The football giants celebrate a successful 2016-2017 premier league season, under their head coach, Dylan Kerr who has also been named the Fidelity Insurance Coach of the Month for September.
Gor almost went unbeaten in 33 games, where they scooped 73 points, with rival Sofapaka FC trailing at second with only 52 points.K'ogalo have won the Kenya premier league a record 16 times, three more than their arch-rivals A.F.C leopards.
The football giants have also won the FKF President's Cup a record 10 times.
Gor is the only team from Kenya and the CECAFA region to win an African continental title to date, having won the African Cup Winners' Cup in 1987 after previously reaching the final in 1979.
