Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia will play Ugandan giants Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA) in a friendly match at the Afraha Stadium on January 20.
The match is part of a build up fixture that the Kenyan champions have lined up ahead of their quest to defend their title in the impending 2018 season as well as represent the country in the forthcoming Caf Champions League.
According to one of the club's official, K'ogallo is hoping to use the match to further gauge their new signings and build momentum ahead of the looming assignments.
"We will take on KCCA as part of our preparatios for the upcoming season.We need such friendlies to gauge our preparedness as we have a tough season coming up that includes taking part in the Caf Champions League," the official revealed to Goal.com.
Gor have been camping in the lakeside town and have played a number of matches agianst some of the teams from the region including Egerton University FC,Nakuru Combined and Nakuru West FC.
In all the matches,the Green Army recorded big wins thumping Egerton 6-0 before whitewashing the other two teams 4-0 each.In their last match played on Sunday,Gor pipped fellow KPL rivals Nzoia Sugar 2-0 at the Afraha Stadium.
