Gor Mahia Captain Harun Shakava has cautioned Esperance FC of Tunisia that they should expect a shock during their CAF Champions Champions League match set to be played today at Machakos Stadium.
Speaking to the official club website, Shakava said the squad is confident that they will emerge victorious following their superb performance in their recent matches.
He said the fact that K'ogalo will be playing at home is an added advantage and they will ensure they fight to the end in progressing to the next round of the tournament.
Shakava has urged Gor Mahia fans to turn up in large numbers to cheer their squad so as to give them more moral.
"We will be playing at home. Our visitors should not expect any positive results. I urge our fans to come as many as possible to offer us support," said Shakava.
Gor Mahia on Saturday crushed Bandari FC 2-0 in their Kenya Premier League (KPL) match played at Machakos stadium and will be looking to replicate their performance during their encounter with Esperance.
The club is currently on top of KPL standings with 13 points, after playing five league matches where they won four and drew one.
The last time K'ogalo met Esperance in CAF champions was in 2014 where they won 3-2 at home but lost 5-0 away.
The match is set to begin at 3 p.m and match day tickets will be sold at Sh200 with Sh500 being for VIP.
