Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia have named a new captain.

This comes following the departure of their former captain Musa Mohammed who left the team for Albanian side FK Tirana.

Musa took over the armband from long-serving captain and goalkeeper Jerim Onyango who retired from active football to make a try in politics.

Kogalo's technical bench settled on Musa's fellow in the defence Harun Shakava who has been at the club for several seasons.

Shakava will be deputised by goalkeeper Boniface Oluoch.

The former Kakamega Homeboyz man will now be tasked with leading the team to glory both at home where they are league defending champions as well as in the continental assignments where they will be taking part in the CAF tournament.
