Gor Mahia have appointed immediate former Posta Rangers coach Zedekiah Otieno the new assistant coach to replace Tom Ogweno who has since left the club.
Zico ditched Rangers in October 2016 under unclear circumstances even after leading the side to a 4th place finish and now comes back to the side has was unceremoniously thrown out as head coach in 2011.
According to Futaa, Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier has confirmed the return and termed it a massive boost for his side.
"I can confirm that we have appointed Zedekiah Otieno as our assistant coach. We wanted someone with Kenyan Premier League experience and Zico fits that bill. We want to win the title again and we can only achieve that if we have the best technical bench and playing unit. Zico is an experienced coach and alongside coach Ze Maria and other members of the technical bench we will get the right results," Rachier said.
Zico has previously stood on the touchlines for SoNy Sugar and the national team.
