Gor Mahia Captain Musa Mohammed.photo/sportpesnews.comGor Mahia Captain Musa Mohammed has blamed bad weather for his sides draw against Tusker FC.
The match which was played at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru on Saturday was characterized with heavy rains.
The match ended in a barren draw with Tusker playing the last seven minutes without one player after Hashim Sempala was red carded.
“Playing such a tough game under such conditions will always be tough. The rain messed our game plans for the first 30 minutes or so but when it settled, we tried to be resurgent. We created so many scoring opportunities but couldn’t convert.
“We hit the post twice and we almost came close to scoring but Tusker were defensive especially in the last minutes. However, we are contented with the point and focus shifts to the next match,” concluded Musa.
The draw saw the 15-time SPL champions drop to the second spot on the log with a point below leaders Posta Rangers who have 14 points in six rounds.
