Gor Mahia were to be crowned champions this weekend if they beat Mathare United during their clash played in Thika.
Their closest challengers were Sofapaka and Kakamega Homeboyz who stood a massive 15 points adrift in the second and third positions respectively.
However, the record league winners were in for a rude shock after the struggling Slum Boys staged a 1-0 surprise win over them.
Lucky for Gor, Homeboyz were felled by Nakumatt to stagnate their point tally at 45 while and only Sofapaka secured a win over Bandari to take their point tally to 48.
With the loss, Kogalo will now have to beat Kariobangi Sharks and ensure Sofapaka fall in their next outing so as to lift this year's title with 63 points.
