The 15 signings that Kenyan football champions Gor Mahia have made will be officially unveiled this weekend. The club’s second national vice chairman George Ongudi said they have two players from Rwanda who are yet to report. Ongudi said the club has organised two friendly matches that will be played at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu on Saturday and Sunday. He said on Saturday Gor will play Muhoroni football club and on Sunday play Sony at the same venue. “We are building the club, we will be hosting two matches this weekend in Kisumu,” he said. Speaking at the stadium when he toured the once refurbished facility, Ongudi said they have selected some local talents across the country. He urged Gor supporters to come up in large numbers to support the team financially. Ongudi said the club is facing financial constraints that can only be overcome if supporters come up in large numbers to watch their matches. “From gate collections we can have some funds to help the club so let our supporters turn up in large numbers,” he said. He further called for discipline among the supporters of Gor and appealed to them to maintain peace during the tournament. The tournament will act as a build up match for Gor as they wait for the start of Tusker Premier League.
