Kenya Premier League (KPL) champions Gor Mahia and rivals Tusker FC are expected to renew their rivalry in the transfer market after the two sides were linked to highly rated Nzoia Sugar playmaker Lawrence Juma.
Juma had an impressive debut season with the sugar millers in the recently concluded 2017 season, scoring seven goals and setting up ten others to emerge the highest goal assist. He was also his team's highest scorer.
It is widely believed that these qualities have since attracted him to the two giants who are keen on bolstering their squads ahead of an imminently gruelling 2018 season.
A source from the Western based side on Wednesday revealed to a local sports website that the club has since received bids from the two sides.
"Tusker and Gor Mahia have both approached the club for his services. After such a good season the club expected bids for him.Nothing has been agreed on just yet but the club will not stand on his way if he decides to leave. He has a contract and I think any of the sides interested in him will have to buy it out,"the source told Futaa.com.
Other than Nzoia,Juma has also featured for former KPL outfit Nakuru All Stars.
