Award-winning gospel group Kelele Takatifu is no more.   

According to eDaily the group, which used to comprise of Di Moji Shortbabaa and Didi, split after each of the artists opted to go solo.

The talented gospel singers dropped several tunes including Ngori, Aina Noma and Bamba Mbaya among others before hitting the iceberg.

The new development has hit their fans hard considering the massive airplay they have been enjoying since they entered the entertainment industry. With their songs based on the Biblical stories and comic characters, the two singers had stolen hearts of many Kenyans until they made the decision.

Speaking on the breakup, Moji said that each of them is talented in his way, adding that time has come for them to pursue solo projects. We have grown as individuals and we felt time to develop our solo career, even as God leads,” he said as quoted by the Local Daily.

Moji has already released a solo titled Kuzitoka.  

Despite splitting, Kelele Takatifu will be remembers for bagging several awards in this competitive industry.
