Mercy Masika, a popular Kenyan gospel artist, was on Saturday night involved in a grisly road accident along the busy Thika Super-Highway.
The accident that occurred some minutes to midnight involved a heavy commercial vehicle that hit Masika's maroon car from behind, exposing her to body injuries.
Situations leading to the accident remain unclear, but further reports state that the accident was caused by poor visibility caused by heavy night-long rains at the time of accident might have contributed to the same.
The musician was rushed to Aga Khan Hospital where she was admitted for further treatment and medical examinations.
On Sunday, Masika took to her Twitter handle to assure her fans that she was out of danger as she has been discharged from the medical facility. Earlier reports indicated that the artist was 'battling for her life', information that she has since disputed noting that she is well without serious bruises.
