The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) National Executive Committee (NEC) member Kipkorir Menjo has termed ongoing crackdown on opposition leaders as uncalled for and an act of dictatorship.Menjo warned that recent arrest of Ruaraka legislator TJ Kajwang and deportation of self proclaimed National Resistance Movement (NRM) general Miguna Miguna might further polarize the country."I condemn with the strongest terms possible the recent arrest of our opposition leaders in the name that they participated in the swearing in of Raila Odinga, this is unconstitutional and retrogressive aimed at bringing the country to dictatorship," Menjo said in Eldoret on Thursday."Jubilee administration should stop harassing and humiliating opposition leaders but instead should concentrate on how to make the lives of Kenyans which has deteriorated better. For sure what did Miguna Miguna do to deserve deportation yet he is a Kenyan citizen?" he added.Menjo challenged President Uhuru Kenyatta to act swiftly and ensure he unites all Kenyans irrespective of their political affiliations.Since the controversial swearing in of NASA leader Raila Odinga at Uhuru Park in Nairobi, the government has been cracking down on elected leaders allied to the opposition.
