Wanga has said that the Jubilee government has developed a tendency of handling even the very critical matters like healthcare in a casual manner.

She has noted that industrial strikes by civil servants are not unique to Jubilee administration as they were still happening during the previous administrations and were resolved in a better way.

"This is not the first time these things are happening in this country but we have seen a difference in how they are handled by this administration casually. It is just the other day when doctors were on strike and we saw how adamant the government was.The government is being dishonest in dealing with nurses," Wanga told NTV on Wednesday during the Sidebar show.

Wanga further noted that professionals don’t just wake up and go on strike saying that there must be an issue that they are discontented with.

However, nominated Jubilee MP Johnson Sakaja absolved the national government saying that nurses are employed by county governments.

"It is not right to blame the Jubilee government entirely. We know health is a devolved function and therefore, we should know where to direct the blame. I have heard a lot of blame thrown to the Jubilee government yet these nurses are employed by the counties," said Sakaja.

Sakaja told the opposition to stop politicising everything to gain political capital but instead, seek to offer alternatives.
